Virgin bingo has an excellent loyalty scheme that earns points - called V*POINTS - that can be used not only on Virgin bingo but also for others things across the Virgin brand. Read more below for an overview of the Virgin bingo loyalty scheme, or you can also check the details out by clicking here to go to the Virgin Bingo loyalty scheme page (opens in new window).
Introduction
The Virgin bingo loyalty scheme is fairly comprehensive. You earn loyalty points - V*POINTS - on all games available at Virgin bingo, so not just the bingo games (of course) but also any side games you access from the Virgin bingo site. As usual the more you play the more points you earn. The great thing about the Virgin bingo loyalty scheme is that you can exchange your points for more than just more bingo play if you want to. As part of the Virgin group and brand Virgin offers some great stuff from across the brand in exchange for your V*POINTS.
Flying club miles, Virgin vouchers, donations to charity as well as bingo bonuses are all available as set out below. Remember that play at all games at Virgin bingo earn you points. One V*POINT is equivalent of 1p or 1 Flying Club mile. You can check your V*POINTS in your account when you log in and the totals are updated daily so be aware of that - they don't update as you play but the new total will be shown the following day. If you get points as part of a prize in a promotion those won't show for up to 3 working days so don't panic if they don't appear for a while!
V*POINTS redemptions take up to 5 working days to process, although bonus redemptions (i.e. trading in the points for a bonus) should be quicker, and should be credited the next working day.
Flying Club miles
The Virgin Flying Club is their frequent flyer scheme where you can use Flying Club miles to get flights on Virgin Atlantic Airways, and more (e.g. hotel rooms, car hire etc.) for your trip. You can earn points in lots of ways, and for details of this you should see the main Virgin Atlantic Flying Club page. As an example the cost in Flying Club 'miles' for various trips are as followed (taken from the examples on the Virgin Bingo loyalty scheme page):
- 45,000 miles - Return flight from London to New York.
- 50,000 miles - Round trip Economy Class ticket from London to Las Vegas.
- 60,000 miles - Premium Economy Round trip ticket from London to Dubai.
- 80,000 miles - Round trip Premium Economy trip from London to Tokyo.
- 100,000 miles - Upper Class round trip ticket from London to Hong Kong.
Those numbers may well seem a bit high, but don't forget that any Flying Club miles you get from cashing in your Virgin Bingo V*POINTS are added to any other miles you have collected in other ways. So certainly if you shop with Virgin Flying Club's other partners you could build the miles up quicker than you think! Also bearing in mind the volatility of flight prices in general, these redemption rates are subject to change. The above is just to give you an idea, do check the current rates on the Virgin site.
Charity - Virgin Unite
The Virgin group has an independent charitable arm - a non-profit foundation called Virgin Unite. Click here to get to the Virgin Unite site and read more about what they do there. One V*POINT equals one penny, but if you donate your points to Unite Virgin will match your donation penny for penny so the foundation gets more money.
Virgin Vouchers
Virgin vouchers have a value in Pounds Sterling and can be exchanged for a whole range of Virgin products, and things like holidays and trips. Click here to get to the Virgin Vouchers site to find out what you can get for your vouchers, should you choose this redemption option for your V*POINTS you get by playing bingo and other games on Virgin bingo.
Bingo Bonus
You can of course use your points to play more bingo! There is always the option of converting them into bingo bonus funds in your Virgin bingo account at the usual rate of 1p for 1 point. This is often the option for other bingo rooms' schemes, so if you play a fair amount of bingo and want more choices (see above and below!) for your bingo loyalty scheme points then Virgin has a nice range of offerings for your points. Bonus funds can only be used to play bingo with (or poker, or in the Virgin casino, and so on), not to cash out.
Virgin Experiences
You can also exchange your V*POINTS for Virgin Experience Days. There are far more days out and exciting experiences available with Virgin Experiences than could possibly be listed here, but if you check out the Virgin Experience Days site you can find out about them in details. Relaxing meals, pampering experiences at spas all the way to exciting driving and flying days with exotic cars and acrobatic planes (respectively!)
Click the banner above to get to the Virgin bingo site to sign up and play so you can start collecting V*POINTS, or click here to go to the Virgin Bingo loyalty scheme page if you want to check it out more. |
